Pineapple Mango labels
I created a product line of labels that would look like Bath and Body Works. It's one of my favourite store so I thought why not try to make a design that looks like it belong in a BBW store. So I did just that. :)
Package design
My first thought was to have pineapples and mangos that are detailed. I thought of this because Bath and Body Works have been doing detail designs recently and I wanted to have a design that reflected that. So I continued on their trend and made pineapple and mangos that are detailed.
My second thought for this project was to do a geometric design, but I quickly decided against it because it doesn't have the Bath and Body Works vibes.
The final product didn't vary too much from my initial sketch. I guess you could say I had a idea and rolled with. I slightly change the colours for the mangos to a lighter yellow and a slight darker orange to make them stand out more from the pineapples. I also refined how the colour looks fill in, to make it look better, instead of having it a mess. From the sketch to the final, not much changed but those little changes did a lot.
Some of the feedback I got from an earlier version was that the font would determine the value of the products (I just had a place holder font at the time.) I didn't want the products to look more expensive or cheaper than the rest, I wanted them to look like they had the same value.
